Note: “Detectives” refers to our non-professional listeners. They are senior psychology students (and above) with basic helping skills, supervised by qualified professionals.
A. FOR SERVICE USERS
Honesty and openness: Share information truthfully and express emotions clearly so the “detective” can understand and support you effectively.
Autonomy: You may pause or end participation at any time.
Respect for “detectives”:
Understand that “detectives” can’t decide for you or resolve everything in one session; change takes time and you hold the key.
Do not ask for tasks beyond their support role.
Respect agreed rules (session time, confidentiality, contact method, etc.).
Avoid offensive, threatening, manipulative, or pressuring language.
Do not seek contact outside working hours or pursue personal relationships beyond the support framework without explicit mutual consent.
Age requirement: Bichimoly accepts users 16+ only.
Session duration: Each session lasts 45–60 minutes. If more support is needed, you and the “detective” can discuss continuing.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Outcomes depend on cooperation, openness, and active engagement from both parties.
Bichimoly does not diagnose or treat psychiatric disorders, does not replace medical intervention, and is completely free of charge.
You have the right to clear information about your rights, responsibilities, confidentiality, and its exceptions.
You must provide accurate information. Bichimoly is not responsible for consequences arising from false information.
B. FOR “DETECTIVES” (SUPPORT PROVIDERS)
Confidentiality
Between “detectives” and users: Information stays confidential except when there is risk of harm to self/others, legal requirements/orders, or cases of minors at risk (abuse, neglect, urgent protection).
Within the project: Only relevant parties may access information as necessary:
“Detectives”: full access to support you.
Management & supervisors: anonymized information for quality assurance.
Technical team: limited access for maintenance or troubleshooting only.
Apart from these, no information will be disclosed externally.
Active listening & appropriate responses: listen actively, respect sharing space, respond supportively without judgment or imposition.
Respect & acceptance: no criticism, prejudice, or biased judgment; show unconditional acceptance (not necessarily agreement).
No exploitation: absolutely no personal, intimate, sexual, dependent, or manipulative relationships during or after support.
Focus on the user: tailor support to each individual; avoid one-size-fits-all solutions.
No dependency creation: guide users toward self-discovery, decision-making, and autonomy.
Trust in users’ abilities: do not underestimate their capacity to solve problems.
Safeguarding users’ rights: avoid harm, stay within professional scope, and ensure safe data handling.
Referral: if issues exceed capacity, help users connect with suitable professionals/organizations.
