About Us

Bichimoly started as a winning idea at the UNICEF Vietnam Innovation Challenge, created to tackle school violence through mental health support.
With mentorship and funding from UNICEF, the project came to life — offering a safe, anonymous space for young people to be heard and understood.

How the Project Began

Bichimoly originated from the UNICEF Vietnam National Innovation Challenge, held in 2019 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Three students — Lê Khánh Ly, Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Bích, and Đặng Linh Chi — formed the team “Lanh” and proposed a solution to address school violence through mental health support.

During the 48-hour competition at the United Nations International School (UNIS), the team developed and refined the project idea with support from Ms. Bùi Thị Mơ from UNIS accompanied the team throughout the process.

The project, named “Mental Health Detective,” was selected as one of the winning ideas and received funding from UNICEF for implementation. This marked the beginning of Bichimoly as a youth-led initiative focused on mental health support.
